SUMMER
Adult Leagues
Brookline and the surrounding area offer a few adult leagues for former college players and others who want to continue playing competitive baseball:
-
Boston Park League, America's oldest amateur baseball league, features highly competitive baseball for players of college age or older. Many of the players in this league currently play or have played college baseball. Fans can take in games for free at Cleveland Circle Field and in nearby towns throughout the summer.
-
Yawkey Baseball League, which has existed since the 1950s under several names (City League, Twilight League, and Junior Park League), also offers highly competitive play.
-
Boston Men's Baseball League, the local chapter of a national organization, offers moderately competitive leagues for ages 18+, 30+, and 40+.
Pickup Games
For players who are looking for less formal and less competitive summer baseball, Brookline Youth Baseball offers pickup games for ages 7-15. Attendance is optional, coaches pitch to batters, and there is no cost involved. Find out more at the Brookline Youth Baseball website.
